For years now, the structural building material of choice in southeastern Wisconsin for commercial and industrial buildings has been painted concrete block.  Whether people realize it or not, aside from company branding the most important reason for applying paint to concrete block is to protect the buildings interior from moisture.

Today, more and more companies are feeling the pressure to advertise to their customers and clients that they are an environmentally conscience, "green" company, and if they haven't then you are being left way behind. The problem  with this is the lack of education and misleading information concerning the "green" movement and for that matter "global warming".

The time is fast approaching when the State of Wisconsin adopts the latest version of the International Building Code, and when that happens the requirement for continuously insulated wall systems will become a potentially expensive reality.  Having a continuously insulated wall systems mean that any wall built in this State will need to have a continuous layer of insulation between the exterior finish of a building, ie.

This article from Manufacturing Executive Magazine reports that "the number of manufacturing jobs in the U.S. grew 1.2% last year, the first increase in employment since 1997. Even better news is that some economists are predicting a 2.5% gain this year."
